Alba González Sanz (Oviedo, 1986)
She is a writer and researcher, an expert in gender and public policies on equality.
With a degree in Hispanic Philology and a PhD in Gender and Diversity, with an international mention, from the University of Oviedo, her academic work focuses on the study of authorial insertion and the construction of female citizenship in Spain through feminist essays between the 18th and 20th centuries; as well as the analysis of contemporary narrative and cultural production from various critical perspectives.
Her professional career combines university research with her work as an expert advisor in Congress or the Ministry of Equality (14th Legislature) and teaching, management, and training in this field. She is also a University Expert in Gender Impact Assessment from UNED and holds the professional certificate in teaching for Vocational Training for Employment. She also served as a councilor for Podemos in the City Council of Gijón and has held various political responsibilities of an organic nature.
Additionally, she is the author of several poetry books, has directed editorial collections, and launched cultural management projects, mainly in Asturias, over the last twenty years. All these endeavors are united by her dedication to feminist research, advocacy, and writing. She is currently a researcher at the University Institute on Gender and Diversity at the University of Oviedo.
