Edurne Portela & José Ovejero

On Friday, September 26, I’ll have the pleasure of presenting Una belleza terrible, the latest novel by Edurne Portela and José Ovejero. Written four hands, the book tells the story of a group of men and women determined to spark revolution—radical change against the injustices of the world—throughout the 20th century.

The narrative builds on familiar historical realities to create a convincing, imaginative world that respectfully explores both the public and private lives of some of the most relevant figures in contemporary history, in Europe as well as Latin America.

Portela and Ovejero are brought to us by the cultural association La Ciudadana, and as always in that beloved space, we’ll meet at 7:30 p.m. at El Manglar.
