Piece in Líbero magazine

To mark Real Oviedo’s return to Spain’s top flight, Líbero magazine has dedicated its autumn issue to the carbayón side. I was invited to contribute an article offering a feminist perspective on the team’s promotion — a task made easier by the fact that it had already been done before. Earlier this year, Real Oviedo Femenino also secured promotion, stepping up to the second tier in 2025.

Exploring the club’s commitment to women’s football, and speaking with María Suárez García, the General Director behind the project, was a privilege in itself.
